Wednesday is 'get out and do something different day', for us, cos every other day has regular stuff to do already booked.
Today we headed out Los Velez way.
I took the dogs a 'climb' to the "Cuevas de los Letreros", because they are campo dogs and don't manage towns very well, while Heth went to the market at Velez Blanco. The Cuevas, where you can just about make out the images of the Indalo Man and others, if you've got binoculats and a good imagination are a disappointment, but the views towards Muela and Gigante are spectactular.
When we met up. Heth had some plants for the hanging baskets - isn't it funny that we start gardening here just when we would be starting to tidy the bedding plants up in the UK? She had loads of leeks to make soup with the potatoes the vecinos have given us and a carton of roasted chicken and chips.
So we went up to the recreation area beyond the little village Maria to eat them at one of the many picnic benches located arround the BBQ places.
Then we set off to do one of the way marked walks, but were totally distracted by the sight of more than 50 Griffon vultures spiralling above us.
