The coast and further afield

On a clear day, from the camino just along from Casa Erizo, you can see the Meditteranean 30 kilometers away, glistening in the sun!

The coast from Cabo de Gata in the South to Aguilas in the North is all accessible for a day out, to enjoy the scenic coastline, beautiful beaches and interesting towns. Here is a little more information and some suggestions.

From Las Menas you could continue up to the observatory at Calar Alto - http://www.caha.es/

And maybe while you are in this area call in to swim with the fishes at the thermal pool at Cela - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYn5OeQbXlI

and last but not least - Almeria has the only desert in Europe and was used as a backdrop for many films - Westerns and Laurence of Arabia. A trip to the Theme park Oasis may well be on the agenda. http://www.oasysparquetematico.com/
